Terms And Conditions
GENERAL
– When you make a booking with us and pay a deposit it is deemed that you have acknowledged and accepted all our terms and conditions and the cancellation policy. A grace period of 24 hours from booking and paying a deposit applies to change or cancel a booking without incurring any fee or additional charge.
– Guests are required to show upon arrival valid identification (passport or driver’s license), as well as a valid credit card. The details will be kept with your reservation. We take down your credit card details so further charges, purchases and outstanding monies can be conveniently charged to it in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and as authorised by you when you leave. If you arrive to check in without an actual physical credit card (you only have a digital card on your phone or in a google wallet for example) we will charge to it $400 as a holding amount for the period of your stay. The balance of this $400 will be returned to you following check out once charges, purchases and outstanding monies are deducted. We apologise for this and hope to avoid doing this by being able to see a physical credit card on check in.
– No smoking is allowed in our rooms. Designated smoking areas are provided with an ashtray out on the courtyards or verandas.
– If the items below are not paid for prior to your departure, we reserve the right, and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for the following:
Any outstanding accommodation charges.
Any items consumed/used out of the minibar or shopping list (wine, pringles, candles, etc).
Any damage incurred to your room or to the hotel property during your stay.
Any property taken from the hotel without prior explanation.
Any badly soiled towels and/or beddings that require more time or specific products than those we would normally use, to remove stains will incur an extra $20 cleaning fee or relevant replacement charge.
– Please do not remove or take out anything that belongs to or in the room. Towels/blankets/pillows/ throws/plates/cutlery/utensils/torches etc. Anything stolen or accidently taken and not returned will be added to your account and will be charged to your account.
– If there is any outstanding balance on the scheduled arrival date, this payment will be taken on the morning of check-in. Cash is accepted for the remaining balance and can be paid on arrival by prior arrangement only.
– We have umbrellas available for your use when it rains. Please bring them back or leave the umbrella/s in your room. Don’t forget them in your car. Umbrellas not returned will incur a charge of $30 per umbrella.
– If the room key is lost or not returned, you will be charged a $150 fee to replace the locks & keys.
– All guests must declare all adults, children, and infants regardless of whether they are sharing a bed with the adults, sleeping on guest supplied bedding, or if the bedding is to be provided by us.
– Drunken behaviour and noise after 9pm will not be tolerated. Please don’t invite non-guests back to your room after 7pm. Eviction from the property and monetary fines may occur if these rules are not complied with.
– 24 Hour CCTV cameras are in operation externally around all accommodation (units/rooms/houses) for your safety and the security of rooms and guest vehicles. If you tamper with, deface or the CCTV cameras management reserves the right to evict you and will be asked to leave immediately. If you refuse, the police will be called.
– Management and Staff welcome you and we wish everyone a wonderful and memorable experience whilst staying with us in one of the most beautiful regions of Australia. Please respect and follow the rules, regulations, and our property policy.
DEPOSIT PAYMENT TO SECURE YOUR RESERVATION
– To secure a booking reservation a deposit needs to be paid at the time the booking is made as follows:
For a 1 night stay – the total for that night’s accommodation,
For a stay greater that 1 night – 50% of the total accommodation charge, and
For Highview 3-Bedroom house – 35% of the total accommodation charge.
– We accept payment via Credit Card (Visa and Mastercard), Debit Card or direct transfer bank payments to pay the deposit to secure your reservation.
– We do accept AMEX, however, this card is subjected to a 3.5% surcharge, and can be used to pay the deposit to secure your reservation.
– If the circumstance arises that you need to cancel below are the guidelines to follow, please respect our cancelation policy as we are a small family business operating in a regional area. Guests’ reservations are planned and mostly booked months and or even up to a year in advance.
PETS
– There are strictly no pets/animals allowed. Unauthorised pets or animals will be subject to a minimum of $500 fine, and you will be asked to leave the property.
– Service/assistance animals are exempt from the above condition with documentation to be provided upon request of management. Prior notification to management is also requested so all animal related arrangements can be met (sleeping mat, easy access for toileting, etc). Our other Guests will be informed if a service or assistance animal is staying in the accommodation with a guest.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT STANDARD
– Check-in is available after 2:00pm and check-out is until 10:00am – unless prior arrangements have been made.
– Key collection and check in is at Blue Summit Hideaway Reception at 22 Gillies Range Road, Yungaburra, QLD, 4884 – unless prior arrangements have been made.
– If you are arriving late, we can arrange a contactless self-check in for you based on us having received your completed pre-arrival check-in electronically. The pre-arrival check-in link is emailed to every booking 5 days and again 2 days prior to arrival. Please complete your pre-arrival check-in and tick to accept our terms and conditions.
EARLY CHECK-IN
– This is subject to room availability; in most cases we will only know the availability 24 hours or less prior to arrival.
-If you want to check-in before our standard 2pm check-in time a surcharge of $20 per hour for every hour before 2pm will apply.
LATE CHECK-OUT
– For late check-out the manager or head housekeeper needs to be informed firstly as this will need to be approved. Most times late check-outs can be arranged but in high season and or high demand we may not be able to offer this service.
– A surcharge of $20.00 per hour for every hour after 10:00am applies; or
– If you check-out after 2pm a charge equivalent to the full daily rate is applicable to your booking.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
– It is recommended that at the time of booking your purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover items including but not limited to any loss of booking amount through cancellation, loss or damage to personal baggage, loss of money and medical expenses.
UNACCOMPANIED MINORS
– All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult such as a parent, guardian, or other adult who has parental rights and responsibilities for the under 18-year-old guest. If a guest is found to be a person under the age of 18 who is not accompanied by a responsible adult Yungaburra Accommodation may immediately cancel the guest’s booking and the full booking amount will be forfeited to Yungaburra Accommodation under this clause.
EVENTS BEYOND CONTROL
– Yungaburra Accommodation is not responsible for any loss arising out of any occurrences or conditions beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of terrorism, act of natural causes, defects in vehicles, war, strikes, theft, delay, cancellation, civil disorder, disaster, Government regulations or changes in itinerary or travel schedule. All travel documents, observance of laws and government regulations are your responsibility.
– In the event of a natural disaster such as a cyclone or flooding, the local council, SES and other community groups clean-up the areas affected very quickly, usually within 24 hours. This means that the region of the Atherton Tablelands and the wider Cairns / Great Barrier Reef region is safe to visit and there is minimal or no ongoing disruption to the tourist industry or our ability to cater for visitors.
USE OF INFORMATION
– Yungaburra Accommodation will not provide or disclose any information you have provided to us to any person or body corporate, without your prior written consent. We follow and respect the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act) as the principal piece of Australian legislation protecting the handling of personal information about individuals. This includes the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal information in the federal public sector and in the private sector. Our reservation system is owned by an Australian company called RMS.
– Data Protection
RMS customer databases are hosted on highly available and scalable Azure SQL Servers.
Each RMS customer has their own SQL database with individual access credentials.
– Database Encryption

FACILITIES AND SERVICES
– Whilst care is taken to ensure that the description of facilities and services of Yungaburra accommodation is accurate, these are continually being changed, upgraded, and on occasion taken out of service and if any feature/facility is essential to you in choosing a particular property, it is your responsibility to confirm with the property prior to making your booking that the feature/facility will be available during your stay.
