Cancellation Policy
DEPOSIT PAYMENT REQUIRED TO SECURE YOUR RESERVATION
– To secure a booking reservation a deposit needs to be paid at the time the booking is made as follows:
For a 1 night stay – the total for that night’s accommodation,
For a stay greater that 1 night – 50% of the total accommodation charge, and
For Highview 3-Bedroom house – 35% of the total accommodation charge.
– We accept payment via Credit Card (Visa and Mastercard), Debit Card or direct transfer bank payments to pay the deposit to secure your reservation.
– We do accept AMEX, however, this card is subjected to a 3.5% surcharge, and can be used to pay the deposit to secure your reservation.
– If the circumstance arises that you need to cancel below are the guidelines to follow, please respect our cancelation policy as we are a small family business operating in a regional area. Guests’ reservations are planned and mostly booked months and or even up to a year in advance.
RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS
– If your booking has been made with a Travel Agent or Online Travel Agent (OTA), you must follow the terms and conditions and cancellation policy provided by your travel agent or OTA and this will apply to your booking, and you should ask your Travel Agent for a copy of these terms and conditions and cancellation policy. We do not hold any responsibility when the booking is made with a third party.
– If you are cancelling a booking for whatever reason, a cancellation request must be done by email, to stay@yungaburraaccommodation.com.au. Please state whether you prefer a refund returned or a credit. Once we receive your email we can proceed with your cancellation. Monetary refunds will be processed into a nominated bank or credit card account as per above. When money is refunded into your nominated bank or credit card account, please note that it can take up to three business days to receive the refund.
– If cancellation is due to a government enforced Border Closure or Lockdown (from COVID or any other Pandemic), the deposit can only be transferred as a credit and can be used with 24 months or more if the closures are still in place.
– In the event of a natural disaster that leads to road closures and or the closure of the Cairns Airport and there is no possible way to make it to Yungaburra, then cancelling is the only option. The deposit can only be transferred as a credit and can be used within 18months.
A cancellation:
– 21 days prior to the arrival date:
The full deposit will be refunded less a 10% cancellation fee OR
The full deposit will be held as a credit with no cancellation fee being applied. A credit is valid for 18 months from the date of cancellation. Upon electing to take a credit a refund is no longer available.
– 20 to 8 days prior to the arrival date:
Refund of 50% of the deposit, less a 10% cancellation fee OR
50% of the deposit can be held as a with no cancellation fee being applied. A credit is valid for 18 months from the date of cancellation. Upon electing to take a credit a refund is no longer available.
– 7 to 4 days prior to arrival, guests are only able to receive a credit of 30% of the deposit.
– 3 days or less notice before arrival you will not receive a refund or credit.
– No Show – full 100% of the booking value is payable and will be charged to you.
CHANGE OF BOOKING POLICY (Dates of stay, length of stay)
– To change the dates of your existing booking, fees may apply as set out below. The new requested dates will be subject to availability. Please note the deposit will no longer be refundable once your reservation has been moved.
– A price difference may exist when changing your dates, this difference is payable upon confirming the new dates.
– If you don’t have exact dates to change your booking to, then you need to cancel your reservation. Refer to the cancellation policy.
– If you want to move your booking to earlier dates, this will be subject to availability with no additional applicable fees.
– If you want to move your booking to a later date and do this:
21 days or more before the original arrival date no change fee applies,
20 to 8 days before the original arrival date a $25 change fee applies,
7 to 4 days before the original arrival date a $50 change fee applies, and
3 days or less before the original arrival date $100 moving fee applies.
– If you are shortening your stay and it is 7 days or less before arrival a $50 fee per cancelled day applies.
